I have been using my Hoover Linx Hand Vac for a few days now. It has decent suction for quick pickups on hard surfaces. The battery holds a charge for about 15 minutes, then just dies out. If you are in the middle of cleaning you'll have to wait another 3 hours to charge it. I have an extra battery and this is helpful as I also own the Platinum stick vac. Emptying the dirt cup is a VERY annoying! No grip handle, slippery plastic, and it's a large cup to grip to twist open. Very poor design. I use 2 hands to twist the cup open while I put the vac between my knees to stabalize it. There is also no hook for hanging. I would not recommend buying this model when there are other hand vacs on the market that can function just as well for 1/3 of the cost of this one. I love my Hoover upright and have trusted Hoover quality for years, so this expensive hand vac is a disappointment.
